1. Acceptance Of Terms

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of Manticore Paint Studio, including the website, private Studio application, project tools, file storage, color tools, light tools, boards, and related services.

By creating an account, signing in, uploading content, or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Service Description

Manticore Paint Studio is a miniature-painting planning workspace. It may include project tracking, reference libraries, owned paint catalogs, palette tools, gamut tools, color conversion, color wheel tools, image palette tools, STL lighting studies, mood boards, notes, renders, and related creative planning features.

The service is currently in private beta. Features, pricing, storage limits, availability, and account access may change as the product is developed.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate account information and to notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.

We may refuse, suspend, or terminate accounts if necessary to protect the service, comply with law, prevent abuse, or enforce these Terms.

4. User Content

"User Content" means files, images, STL files, renders, notes, project data, paint selections, references, tags, boards, and other materials you upload, create, or store in the service.

You keep ownership of your User Content. You grant Manticore Paint Studio a limited license to host, copy, process, display, transmit, back up, and otherwise use your User Content only as needed to provide, secure, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the service.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights needed to upload and use your User Content. Do not upload content that infringes another person's rights, violates law, contains malware, or includes private information you are not authorized to store.

5. Intellectual Property

The Manticore Paint Studio service, interface, code, design, branding, text, workflows, and original content are owned by or licensed to the service operator, except for User Content and third-party materials.

You may not copy, scrape, reverse engineer, resell, sublicense, or create a competing service from Manticore Paint Studio except as allowed by law or by written permission.

6. Third-Party Materials And Tools

The service may display paint names, color references, STL files, images, libraries, or other third-party materials. Third-party trademarks, product names, and brands belong to their respective owners. Their inclusion does not imply endorsement unless expressly stated.

Users are responsible for complying with the licenses and terms that apply to any third-party content they upload or use with the service.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the service. Prohibited conduct includes attempting unauthorized access, probing or attacking the service, bypassing storage limits, uploading malware, using the service for unlawful content, infringing intellectual property rights, harassing others, interfering with other users, or using automated scraping or extraction without permission.

8. Storage, Backups, And Availability

Accounts may have storage limits based on tier. Beta accounts currently start with 2 GB of server storage unless otherwise assigned by an administrator.

We may maintain backups for operational recovery. Backups are not guaranteed to restore every file or every version. Users should keep their own copies of important project files and reference materials.

The service may be unavailable due to maintenance, upgrades, outages, security issues, hosting problems, or other causes.

9. Subscriptions, Billing, And Cancellation

Subscriptions and billing are not active yet. If paid subscriptions are added, the checkout flow should clearly disclose price, billing interval, renewal terms, trial terms if any, cancellation instructions, and refund policy before purchase.

Payment processing should be handled by a third-party payment processor. Any final subscription terms should be reviewed before public launch to make sure cancellation and renewal practices are clear and compliant.

10. Admin Access And Support

Administrators may access account records and user storage for support, security, troubleshooting, maintenance, data export, deletion requests, account recovery, and enforcement of these Terms. View-as-user troubleshooting actions are logged.

11. Data Deletion And Account Closure

Users may request account deletion or data export through Support. We may verify the request before acting on it. Deletion may not immediately remove backup copies, logs, legal records, security records, or records we are required or permitted to retain.

12. Copyright Complaints

If you believe content stored or displayed through the service infringes your copyright, contact Support with enough information to identify the material, your ownership claim, your contact information, and a statement that you believe the use is unauthorized. A lawyer should review whether a formal DMCA agent registration and notice process is needed before public launch.

13. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, data preservation, and accuracy of generated or suggested paint matches, color conversions, lighting results, or project outputs.

14. Limitation Of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Manticore Paint Studio and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, lost content, business interruption, or substitute services arising from use of or inability to use the service.

A lawyer should set the final liability cap. A common draft approach is to cap liability at the greater of the amount paid by the user in the prior 12 months or a fixed amount selected by counsel.

15. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Manticore Paint Studio and its operator from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your User Content, your misuse of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of another person's rights.

16. Changes To The Service Or Terms

We may update the service and these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted with a new effective date. Continued use after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.

17. Governing Law And Disputes

The final governing law, venue, arbitration, class action waiver, and small-claims language should be selected by counsel based on the business entity and launch plan. Until finalized, disputes should be handled in the jurisdiction where the service operator is legally established.
